    It's a playa ready low liner

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    www.craigslist.org/nby/car/...2157.html
    16-foot Oldie but Goodie - outside has lost its luster and graphics, but inside is quite comfy and cozy. Has double bed that folds up into a couch, upper berth single that can be folded out of the way, and kitchen table folds down to make a "snug double" or roomy single. Nice propane kitchen, pull-out "honey pot" toilet (not the modern kind) battery-operated lighting.
    We used it to go to Mule Days last summer and it was everythign we needed, quite comfortable and homey - we are selling because we need to pull our horse trailer, too, so we got a cabover camper for the truck. We have put about $600 in expenses to get this vintage trailer up to speed. It's road-worthy, and would also make an excellent "fishing cabin" or "guest house."
    Thanks Affinity!
    It's fun to see what peeps want for that cherished rig or storage yard albatross. I tend to like the trailers or cab over campers in an older RV for less than 3 grand. A class C or A can be a big money pit.
    Considering that I can rent a one to two year old 3/4 ton truck for less than a grand and pull a trailer or plop a cab over on it has been the way to go for me. You could easily spend that on a motor home each year in service and maintenance, not to mention storage fees.
    Buy in the spring and sell in the fall. Usually get my money back and I don't have to deal with the RV rental jerks. Get my trucks from Hertz Equipment Rental
    www.hertzequip.com/
    and they have never complained about dust or dirt. In fact they usually thank me for washing and vacuuming it before returning. Most years it smells like the playa before it gets there!
    So I don't worry about the camper because it's mine and no worries over a break down because the tow vehicle is close to new and has less than 25k miles on it.
    It works for me and my crew . . . Cheers
    This is a 1972 model Vacationeer cab-over camper that requires a ¾ ton pick-up
    and special overload springs. It has a unique loading apparatus that one person
    can operate. It also requires an extendable rear bumper. It currently sits on a
    1973 Ford “Camper Special” P/U that was designed for this type of heavy
    camper. If you have a P/U that will carry it it’s all yours. If you want it delivered and unloaded in the north bay area I can manage that. Anything over 50 miles will require $ for gas.
    Tent trailer at a good price:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    www.craigslist.org//for/109171399.html

    This trailer is a 1985 Jayco with a 3-way Dometic fridge, sink, stove, and sleeps six. It has definitey been used. It has canvas rips that have been repaired, still has some rips on corners. Has Queen bed, Full bed + table turns into a bed. Has 2 12V ceiling lights, 1 120V outlet, and power converter (120V to 12V).

    I have the pink slip w/permanent registration.

    Trailer has mechanical trailer brakes, but one of the lines was cut, and I haven't fixed it since I owned it. The trailer stops fine without the brakes.

    Has fresh water tank, but system should be cleaned and sterilized. I have never filled or used it. Stove works good.

    I know fridge works on 120V and 12v but I never hooked it up to gas to know if it works.

    I basically only used this camper for sleeping while on overnight dirtbiking trips. The trailer is about 141/2' long from tip of hitch to rear bumper and approx. 19' opened up.

    1990 Coachmen Catalina Travel Trailer

    Looking for a recreational vehicle, office, spare bedroom, or portable home?

    I am the second owner of this travel trailer. I bought it for $5,500 4 months ago. I am selling it because I need to buy a car. I will also consider trading the trailer for a car or truck of equal value (looking for newer vehicles with good gas mileage). The trailer is selling for 5,000. It is in great shape and is very clean. The previous owner took excellent care of it. Everything works great. Please email if interested, or call (530) 913-9376. See more pictures at www.geocities.com/artcurren...lina.html.
    Thanks for reading, I hope to find a good caretaker for this great trailer!
    Enjoy!

    Layout:
    Walk in and face a chair and couch (pulls out into a double bed). To the right is the bedroom with full bed, overhead lights, and plenty of storage space (2 closets, drawers, and cabinets). To the left is the kitchen area and kitchen table (table and seats make into a double bed). Along the hallway is plenty of storage, then 2 bunkbeds and a bathroom with flushing toilet, sink, and bath w/shower. Roof was well maintained with 1st owner. They always checked for cracks and sealed if found any. They stored covered. Tires are in great shape. We pulled the trailer from Grass Valley (a 5 hour trip) and had no problems with hookups, it was easy to pull. Overall, it feels very roomy, but can still comfortably travel 8 people!

    Features:
    120 volt and 12 volt receptacles (protected by a ground fault interrpter (GFI)
    Fresh water system (via tank or external pressurized source)
    12 volt water pump
    Drainage/sewer system & flushing toilet
    Gray water and waste water tank
    LP Gas system (2 external propane tanks) for hot water, heat, cooking, and refrigeration
    Four burner range, range hood with fan and light, oven
    Atwood water heater (power gas or electric) Can heat 6 gallons to preset temp
    Vent furnace and roof air conditioner, fan, or heater (120 v operation)
    Norcold brand Refrigerator and freezer (power gas or electric)
    Crank up Winegard RV TV antenna
    Cable hook-up
    Utopia brand kitchen faucet
    Dicon Smoke Alarm
    Fabric roll out canopy awning

    What needs fixing:
    1. Upon backing into my driveway, I cracked the plastic drain pipe. I started to seal it, and it is an easy fix. That's why I’m dropping the price.
    2. A hose on one propane tank seems to be leaking and needs replacing.

    Lot of RV for the price:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    www.craigslist.org//car/109535595.html
    Only 47,100 miles.
    I am getting older and I do not go camping anymore, this is why I want to sell my motor home.
    Passed smog this year and has current reg. until Jan. 2006
    I am the second owner. First owners were elderly people and used this RV for summer travel took good care of it.
    I used it camping in California for the past 3 years.
    The motor and transmission are in great shape, no oil leakes. The main battery and the fan belt has been replaced.
    The alternator, water pump, brakes and tires are all good. Tires are good Michlin tires.
    It has a lot of horsepower and can climb hills fine (454 Chevy engine).
    The roof was rubberized (new roof).
    New hydraulic levelers were added, you can adjust them from the driver’s seat, so the RV will be perfectly level if you drive to a place where ground is not level.
    Has dual overhead air conditioners. On hot days they keep you cool! On cold days its propane heater with fan air ducks keep you warm. It has a big propane take and is still full.
    It has a 6500-watt generator that runs off the main gas tank automatically. This generator supplies all your electrical needs when you are at place that has no AC power. The generator also runs the battery charger to keep your engine battery charged as it also powers the overhead lights, refrigerator, microwave oven, TV and all the AC electrical outlets. A very nice feature, because on smaller RV’s, many models do not have AC generators. The fridge can also run off the propane gas or the generator or from external AC power. There is a power TV antenna also for long distance TV station pickup. TV is included!
    It has a fully functionally 4-burner propane gas stove, oven, fridge and heater; there is a separate shower area and bathroom with toilet and sink. There is a lot of storage space, cabinets and drawer’s through out the motor home. There is a portable dinning table that can be stored in the closet when not used. The seats are very roomy and comfortable, they also swivel. The color of the motor home is now (Gov. light tan color) with dark brown pin strips and window trim. There are curtains and blinds on all side and rear windows. The motor home has an external awning and it works well, but one day I parked the RV too close to a tree and it bumped against the awning and bent it just a little. It still works ok but may need a little straighten (a minor issue). Or you can just leave it the way it is, or remove it if you don’t plan to use it for outside shade.
    It has a full size bedroom in the rear with lots of storage room and a closet.
    The interior is very clean for its age, no rips or cuts. The only other issue is a minor one. I parked my RV near a baseball field one-day and a homerun ball hit the rear side window and it broke. I placed a 3/4 thick plywood (cut to the window shape) over it and painted it. It looks nice and it has a good seal. You can always have the window replaced if you want to but I find the thick wood adds extra protection because it is at the head of the bed. There are other windows in that area and they provide enough light.
    OK, I paid over $7900 for it 3 years ago and I am willing to let it go for $6400 with improvements. You will not find a deal like this anywhere for a 30-foot RV that runs so well and looks so nice for its age and with low milage.
    So if you would like to check it out and let me take you around the block in it, just email me back and we can set up a good time to test it. Remember, it is 30-feet and if you are not comfortable driving a bus long vehicle, do not buy it.
    You may write to me now if you have any questions and I will try to get back to you within 24 hours.
    No shipping, local pickup only, cash only, no trades.
    This trailer is the epitome of retro. It was used from about '65 to '75, and has been stored in a car port since. Even has the original moon rim covers.
    It's clean, and in good shape. Has a stove and refridgerator. Stove works. The oven control needs cleaning or replacement. Same with the gas refridgerator. The appliances haven't been used since '75 so there is a little dust build up. Priced accordingly.
    I'm throwing in the retro brown platic dish set too.
    Cab-Over Camper - $450 (santa rosa) 11/9/5
    Hey the crappy truck makes the camper look good!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    www.craigslist.com/nby/car/...7013.html

    This Cab Over Camper is very clean inside. Everything seams to work, Refrig, stove, oven. It has the cushions for around the table which makes the bed.
    It also has a fold down bunk just over the table that is mainly used for storage. Of course there is a bed in the cab over part which is a little over five feet wide. From the outside, the camper is from back with door to back of truck cab 8' 9" then the cab over is another 5'7.5" totaly length being:
    Fourteen and a half feet. At this point, it is sitting on a smog except GMC Pick up that runs fairly good. This is only an add for the CAMPER SHELL.
    $ 450.00 IS OUR STARTING PRICE, BUT WE CAN NOT COME DOWN MUCH.

    PROJECT TRAILER- BEST OFFER

    This RV trailer is a worthy project, and that is why I have had it in expensive storage since 1996. But at this point, my truck has been totaled by a hit and run driver, and I now have many too many other projects that need my immediate attention. Since I have not gotten to this project in 9 years, I must face the fact that I simply do not have the time. My loss is your gain if you want a good project trailer. The damage seems to be a lot of cosmetic, fiberglass stuff. If you have never worked with fiberglass before, don’t let that stop you. Fiberglass is very easy to work with, and I learned fiberglass while working a project simply by visiting a local fiberglass supplier, TAP Plastics. Mostly, fiberglass repair is common sense stuff. With that said, here’s the description.

    Prior to the current damage, this trailer was thoroughly restored because I knew I was going to use it extensively on my fishing excursions, which included trips to British Colombia and Alaska! It really was a wonderful trailer. This is why I have spent a fortune storing it since 1996!

    It was made at a time when things were meant to last almost forever. That is why the trailer frame is closed tube galvanized steel. When the axle was being replaced, I saw a shiny galvanized steel surface on the frame!

    It was made at a time before some regulations caused a lot of stupid problems… For example, the furnace is controlled with a mechanical thermostat. That is much more important than it sounds. During my Alaska trips I could simply turn on the furnace to keep the trailer toasty warm. On the other hand, the other RV’ers there had to turn on their generators to run their fans, which had to be on during furnace operation.

    As you can tell from the pictures, the damage is on the passenger side, front and top. Because working with fiberglass is so easy and because I was going to do the work myself, the door and the missing fiberglass pieces have been saved and are stored in the trailer. The driver’s side and rear pictures show no damage. The trailer was pulled from the Yukon Mountain Pass (Canada) where the damage occurred to San Jose, California, so the axle is o.k.

    The damage occurred in 1996, and at that time everything worked very well. I’ve already mentioned the excellent furnace. Please see the descriptive list below for more details about the trailer. Please note the list was written long ago, and the phrase “recently replaced” means before the damage occurred in 1996.

    NOTE: In the following descriptive list, the phrase “recently replaced” means replaced before the trailer was rolled onto its side in 1996 on a Yukon Mountain Pass. The trailer was then pulled back to California and placed into a storage yard where it has been ever since.

    descriptive list

    1973 Fiberglass trailer
    13 ½ foot length

    Frame:
    · galvanized steel- still shiny silver when new axle was installed
    · closed tube

    Axle-
    · Recently replaced
    · The bearing have the easy access grease fitting

    Electric brakes
    · Recently replaced
    · Can be driven without hooking up the brakes because the trailer is so light

    2 wheels- recently replaced
    2 tires-
    · Goodyear marathon radials ($150) – recently replaced
    1 spare tire with wheel

    2 tank propane system with automatic switch over between tanks
    · recently replaced regulator
    · Many new valves and pipes

    Propane light (Lantern)
    3 propane burner stove top
    Propane furnace – recently replaced gas control valve
    Propane refrigerator (also operates on AC or DC)
    Propane system operates on two tanks- the regulator automatically switches from an empty tank to the full one. Then you simply refill the empty tank when its convenient.

    Water tank, recently replaced electric (DC) water pump, and sink

    AC/DC converter/ Hook-up
    DC lighting system
    Air conditioning
    Marine battery power (charged while driving or when hooked up to AC)
    All circuits rewired
    Tire covers can be seen in the picture ( $40 value)

    Refrigerator
    Dometic RM 2201- AC/DC/gas (three way power and it worked great!)

    Furnace- Suburban S6-T3-A (operates without ac or dc power)
    · recently replaced gas control valve

    Water and electric hook-ups

    NOTE: In the above descriptive list, the phrase “recently replaced” means replaced before the trailer was rolled onto its side in 1996 on a Yukon Mountain Pass. Please forgive my repetition, but some people skim descriptions before asking questions.

    I have most of the manuals for the appliances like the furnace, and should be able to find them. Many parts for this trailer are available from the original vendors (like suburban furnace), but many parts are also “off the shelf”, meaning that they are generic parts that are cheaper than what you can get from the original vendors. For example, most men who service gas and propane appliances will have the furnace gas control valve mentioned above. Scamp, Casita, and Burro currently make very similar fiberglass trailers, and that is where you can usually get any other parts you might need in the future. In maintaining the trailer in the future, after the repair, obtaining parts should not be a problem. And with the durability of this trailer ( e.g. galvanized steel frame), it should last indefinitely. I hate to let the trailer go, but I must face the fact that I simply have too many other important projects now.

    The trailer is located in a storage yard in San Jose, California.

    So that is pretty much the entire story. This trailer is a worthy project waiting for the right person.

    And because this trailer is a project, I will take best offer.

    Price is right for a newer class C:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    www.craigslist.org/sby/car/...3456.html
    1992 Gulfstream ultra Class C Motorhome RV - $8500
    This motorhome has a bunch of trick little upgrades you wont realize until you use it. I have owned several types of RV’s and have had this unit long enough to add all these little items over the years. Good for a large family. Runs and drives excellent.
    I will deliver to the SF bay area the weekend of the 26th, Deposit must be recieved before then. Currently registered in New Mexico.
    Factory features (Original owner had custom ordered it from the factory)
    · Bunkhouse/basement model – has huge storage underneath
    · Fuel injected 7.5 liter (460) gas engine - 55K miles
    · Originally a 50 state CA smog vehicle – passes CA smog easily
    · 4 speed overdrive transmission
    · 2nd owner - all the original service docs from new and manuals
    · Meticulously maintained (fluid flushed,etc.) by an experienced mechanic
    · Always run synthetic fluids in all drive train components
    · Sleeps up to 8 (6 comfortably)
    · 5.2KW generac generator with inside operation switch
    · 80G fresh water/ 42 gal grey / 42 gal black
    · Brand new tires (upgraded to load rated E) Less than 500 miles on them
    · Bunkhouse model (2 bunks in rear) Other 2 bunks converted to large
    storage/closet space.
    · Basement model – huge amount of storage
    · Huge 18 foot awning
    · Running boards
    · 4 burner stove / microwave / 3 way frig
    · Full rubber cap roof
    · Roof ladder and rack – can walk on entire roof – good for airshows and
    4th of July
    · Class 5 Trailer hitch wired for 4 or 7 pin (both)
    · Roof AC and Furnace heater
    · Deluxe cabin dash and door treatment with a center map table
    · One cup at a time coffee maker
    · Under the seat safe with separate key
    · Full bath and shower
    Custom add-on done since I have owned it
    · Dedicated dirty clothes compartment with inside hamper door
    · I reinforced most of the cabinetry and added back panels on most of the
    inside compartment so they can be used for storage
    · All windows limo 70% tinted – very nice in the summer
    · 65 Gal gas tank upgrade – DOT stickered and legal – tied to generator
    · Extended stay battery bank
    · Pioneer Supertuner AM/FM CD player with small subwoofer
    · Solar trickle charger
    · Wired for cable TV
    · One storage bay super sealed for long term food and water storage. I
    used it for storing emergency supplies in the event of an earthquake
    (used to live in bay area)
    · Super bright highway lamps/ wired to the brights
    · Rewired generator (dioded) so it can be run while the motorhome is
    being driven. This means you can use the microwave and AC while
    driving. The wife loves that feature in the summer.
    · Installed closeable vents on heater outlets to redirect air better
    · Custom made marine canvas curtain with zipper between truck cab and
    camper (blocks out camper light when driving at night)
    · Regrounded and hard soldered the taillamps. Everyone whos had one of
    these knows they are shoddily built with poor riveting for the ground
    · Added spot mirrors and a third external mirror
    · Have finely tuned the sensors on the holding tanks where they actually
    work and are even accurate.
    · Electronic brake controller
    Bad stuff
    · Oil gauge doesn’t work. Is in the dash pod not the sending unit – dummy
    lamp still works fine
    · Had blowout on rear wheel. Did minor damage, has been professionally
    repaired
    · Scrape on left side (this thing is kinda tall) has been sealed, no
    water behind it
    · Some delamination on the wallpaper inside – a couple of spots
    · Awning material needs to be replaced – I am looking for this now and
    will try to have it done before it sells.
    Unit is in very good shape with a brand new floor and 6 new tires with less than 500 miles on them. They are one step up E rated tires.
    Comes with front window cover , sewer hose, electrical connector to use 20A 110 and video cable. Has the cool rear bumper sewer hose (remember your dads camper?) I will even stock toilet paper and tank deodorizer.
    Reason for selling is that 2 of my kids have grown out of the house and its bigger than we need. I am looking to replace it with a large truck camper to fit my one ton dually truck.
    Class C 70's era RV $1200 (pacifica) 11/15/05
    Tue, November 15, 2005 - 9:16 AM
    Looks like a rust bucket from the coast.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    www.craigslist.org/pen/spo/...3293.html

    Fully functioning RV - This RV has NEVER broken down and continues to run well. It's a Dodge from the 70's, so that really tells the story. It's been well cared for all of these years, by me and the previous family who owned it, who I know well and are good friends. They took EXCELLENT care of it it's whole life. IT HAS LESS THAN 80,000 MILES ON IT!
    HUGE CUSTOM INSTALLED PICTURE WINDOW IN BACK (you won't find this on any RV, as it was custom built by the man who previously owned it who owns a window business)
    sleeps 4 - 6, top & bottom sleeping compartments
    FULLY HEATED!! Nice & warm & cozy. Have enjoyed great winter camping in it.
    WORKING stove & oven Have baked cookies in this great rig!
    Water Heater works GREAT - How about a HOT SHOWER when you get back from surfing??
    shower, toilet - NO LEAKS AT ALL
    bathroom sink
    kitchen sink & small fold-out sideboard
    table & SEATING AND SLEEPING FOR 4 T 6 PEOPLE/KIDS
    CLOSET for for hanging clothes, and 2 drawers
    lots of overhead cupboard space
    linoleum floor for easy cleaning

    It has only 3 minor issues:
    1) Manifold has a crack.

    2) One corner where the bumper is bent, it hasn't caused any problems.

    3) The front cab needs repainting, as it is freckled with rust from the sea air here in Pacifica. THERE IS NO RUST ON THE BODY, as it is made from other materials apparently.

    I have title, registration ran out in July 2005, so that's not so bad.

    Please come and look it over, if you're really considering buying it. The inside is really nice, clean and ready for camping. I'm super busy with school, job and family, so please keep that in mind if I set aside time in my day to meet with you. :) I'm so sad to have to sell it, but I'm in a situation that warrants I make some tough decisions around financial priorities. ASKING ONLY $1200 OR BEST OFFER.

        Thanks Jack,

        It can be truly amazing how cheaply a motivated seller will let that old RV go for and dumbfounding how much some peeps want for their tired piece of crap.

        I'm down to zero toys right now after giving up my storage space. Looking for something small now that the kids would rather be in their own tents. Did the progression from camper to trailer to motorhome and now I'm on the hunt for a nice small rig.

        Cheers . . . Mr. WAGON

          I agree with Jack! Thanks, Wagon, for taking the time to search, post, and comment on all these items. I read them all and am getting a feeling for what seems too expensive. I'm in the market this year. I'd rather spend the money on one to own rather than rent again.

          Thanks again,

    Trailer is solid & faily straight with a couple crease's at the front corners & one on the doorside rear which if used as a guest room can be easily remided by a couple of banana plants! It has a beautiful wood interior with the nice three windows up front,twin beds out back and a solid wood floor! Has been used for "dry" storage for the last few years and as an office when my friend escaped to his property. It is fully self contained and has a roof air conditioner as well. Would make a great spare bedroom/guest quarters. Sorry to all previously interested parties as I am doing this for a friend & I was too busy the last couple weeks to respond with you all. And here is another one from Tim.

    If dealing with private parties is not for you, then consider letting your local dealer know your looking for something. Just like cars, RV get traded in for new rigs and the dealers want the trade in gone as fast as possible. It's either to you, a broker or off to auction, but it's dead capitol to him until sold.

    RV For free, you come pick it up. IT DOES NOT RUN! No KEYS, HAS not been DRIVEN for 7 years... I do not know what is mechanically wrong with it. It may have a mold problem (no current visiable signs). Judging by the blue tarp, there is probably a leak somewhere in the roof (no current dampness) May be a good fixer uper with some time and energy or good for parts. Up to you. It is for you AS IS, you tow or flat bed it out this week and there you go! Showing on Monday only! In Santa Cruz. If you are intersted email and leave a phone number to contact you to set up a specific time.

    Dodge Campervan 1977 - $1000 (berkeley) 11/21/5

    Mon, November 21, 2005 - 12:56 PM
    Class B van:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    www.craigslist.org/eby/car/...5478.html
    1977 Dodge Tradesman 360:
    -Campervan
    -great engine, runs stong
    -Bench couch folds into bed
    -sink with electric pump
    -two range propane stove
    -89,000 original miles--mostly used as a camper
    -Captain's seat in the back
    -Two hide away tables
    -lots of cabinets and a closet
    -A six foot person can stand up inside
    -lights and fan in back run off of extra battery in back(which charges off of alternator while car is driving)
    -also has capability of being plugged into city power source
    -brand new battery
    -extra bed pulls out in ceiling compartment
    -no major dents, though the 70's style paint job is pretty faded.
    -passes smog five months ago
    The reasons it's on a thousand bucks:
    -gas gague does not work, might need a new floater. I just kept track of how many miles since the last fill up.
    -windshield wipers don't work, though I just replaced the blades
    -the temperature gague isn't working
    -the hose leading to the gas tank leaks a little (only when filling. Once it's filled it does not leak any more)
    -it leaks some transmission fluid. I just add some when it needs it.
    -there's a 2 inch by 2 inch patch of corosion on the exterior.
    -for the above reasons, I'm selling it as is
    Katrina-bound Westy now needs another happy home, and soon...
    - 143,000 miles, water-cooled, automatic transmission
    This is the full camper with pop top, fully functioning 2 ring stove, sink, and 3-way fridge (Runs on propane, AC, or DC) has great storage, 2 tables, sleeps four adults, top and bottom.
    More photos of the interior, etc, posted here for a very interested distant party at his request:
    www.lisabenham.com/WestyWeb/
    This van performed flawlessly out at BURNING MAN this year, even in the 3 hour stop-and-go desert exodus! Never overheats!
    And ever since then, I've been grooming this Westy to take down to the Gulf Coast to volunteer and live in it, so have been pouring real love, attention and *$9000* into it recently, but am now taking another vehicle, and must sell this, at a clear loss. I may not be able to afford to go at all, if I take a complete bath on this resale. This is an all true story, with full disclosure on a fun camper that still runs just great right now.
    This is a very good deal, but most especially for someone who knows how to change head gaskets themselves! just learned that they are cracked. I have a pro VW mechanic's printed quote for that fix - the only thing left that needs doing before much-needed resale:
    Less than $200 in parts (head gasket set), and 10 hours in labor - which I can't afford now, after all else I've put into to this thing.
    A realistic compromise could make a us both very happy. It's a very neat van. Please read on...
    I have all these maintenance records, and those before me. This one has lots of good Santa Cruz karma. The exterior paint is not perfect, but the very cool teal color makes up for it! Body has one spot of rust, the body’s not bad - a few typical dings here and there. Interior is in nice condition. All original curtains (freshly cleaned!) and back hatch screen. It actually has some features I wish my later model Vanagon had...
    Just some of my very recent upgrades, replacements, etc:
    - full safety inspection
    - new fully rebuilt, smoooooooth humming auto-trans (my favorite)
    - new fully done brakes (Hub, rotors, pads...)
    - new water pump
    - brand new 3-SIDE windowed Acylic pop-up tent. Very best quality - Will NEVER rot, and newer design provides awesome views and air circulation!
    - new pop top seals all around
    - new sky-light and seals
    - fully inspected dash wiring and new headlight switch
    - newly cleaned fridge system
    - new sliding door handle
    - new windshield
    - tinted windows
    - new headlight, side mirror, hubcaps…
    - Just smogged cleanly in July, ‘05
    - pseudo hardwood flooring! (vinyl) Great for camping… just sweep it all out.
    - JVC CD player with removable faceplate
    - Trailer hitch
    - Fiamma Bike Rack (special rack just for the Vanagons - a $275 value at Go Westy)
    - camper manual and full vanagon repair manual
    He's been trying to sell his class A for months:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    www.craigslist.org/sfc/car/...5204.html

    I am getting older and I do not go camping anymore, this is why I want to sell my motor home.

    Passed smog this year and has current reg. until Jan. 2006

    I am the second owner. First owners were elderly people and used this RV for summer travel.

    I used it camping in California for the past 3 years.

    The motor and transmission are in great shape, no oil leakes. All 3 (12V) battery and the fan belt has been replaced this month. FRESH!

    The alternator, water pump, brakes and tires are all good. Tires are good Michlin tires.

    It has a lot of horsepower and can climb hills fine (454 Chevy engine).

    The roof was rubberized (new roof).

    New hydraulic levelers were added, you can adjust them from the driver’s seat, so the RV will be perfectly level if you drive to a place where ground is not level.

    Has dual overhead air conditioners. On hot days they keep you cool! On cold days its propane heater with fan air ducks keep you warm. It has a big propane take and is still full.

    It has a 6500-watt generator that runs off the main gas tank automatically. This generator supplies all your electrical needs when you are at place that has no AC power. The generator also runs the battery charger to keep your engine battery charged as it also powers the overhead lights, refrigerator, microwave oven, TV and all the AC electrical outlets. A very nice feature, because on smaller RV’s, many models do not have AC generators. The fridge can also run off the propane gas or the generator or from external AC power. There is a power TV antenna also for long distance TV station pickup. TV is included!

    It has a fully functionally 4-burner propane gas stove, oven, fridge and heater; there is a separate shower area and bathroom with toilet and sink. There is a lot of storage space, cabinets and drawer’s through out the motor home. There is a portable dinning table that can be stored in the closet when not used. The seats are very roomy and comfortable, they also swivel. The color of the motor home is now (Gov. light tan color) with dark brown pin strips and window trim. There are curtains and blinds on all side and rear windows. The motor home has an external awning and it works well, but one day I parked the RV too close to a tree and it bumped against the awning and bent it just a little. It still works ok but may need a little straighten (a minor issue). Or you can just leave it the way it is, or remove it if you don’t plan to use it for outside shade.

    It has a full size bedroom in the rear with lots of storage room and a closet.

    The interior is very clean for its age, no rips or cuts. The only other issue is a minor one. I parked my RV near a baseball field one-day and a homerun ball hit the rear side window and it broke. I placed a 3/4 thick plywood (cut to the window shape) over it and painted it. It looks nice and it has a good seal. You can always have the window replaced if you want to but I find the thick wood adds extra protection because it is at the head of the bed. There are other windows in that area and they provide enough light.

    OK, I paid over $7900 for it 3 years ago and I am willing to let it go for $6400 with improvements. You will not find a deal like this anywhere for a 30-foot RV that runs so well and looks so nice for its age and with low milage.

    So if you would like to check it out and let me take you around the block in it, just email me back and we can set up a good time to test it. Remember, it is 30-feet and if you are not comfortable driving a bus long vehicle, do not buy it.

    You may write to me now if you have any questions and I will try to get back to you within 24 hours.

    No shipping, local pickup only, cash only, no trades.

    This is a 1965 aristocrat camping trailer that I'm trying to sell for a friend. I posted an ad for the trailer a couple of months ago but it didn't sell so the price has been lowered. We will take all reasonable offers. It is located in Capitola, CA. By the way, the trailer has current registration so towing it will not pose any problems with the law.

    This 33' 1984 Southwind with 75K miles, 454 Chevy runs EXCELLENT. After more than 6,000 mile trip this summer all it needed was a tune-up and an oil change. It has a full size four burner propane stove, a very large up-dated black glass front refrigerator/freezer works with 110v, propane or generator, microwave oven, toaster oven, electric can opener in the kitchen. A private bathroom with sink and a very large full size shower with mini tub. 7000 watt generator with remote start that will power just about anything. New Tires, new shocks. Powerful front and rear disc brakes really stops this RV easily. Tow package, all manuals for all appliances such as the propane furnace, electric air conditioner. Pull out sleeper sofa turns into a full size bed and the two twin beds in the rear cabin converet very easily into a king size bed. Call to see this fun motorhome for your family!

    Not a bad price for a westy

    www.craigslist.org/sfc/car/...6123.html

    We have to sell our great, well used and loved camper. It has 150,000 miles on it and runs well. Two trips to Mexico last year and no problems (took the kids and dog). Everything works, some things need updates like the AC needs a charge, radio is fine but tape player is out, etc. Two rips in the cloth bench seat covering and rear pad. A couple of small holes in the canvass and the front screen needs a new zipper. Have all shades/screens. 4 speed stick, 1.9L motor, water cooled, new clutch and brakes/master cylinder. Great compression and cared for recently at the Buslab in Berkeley.

    More or No More

    Fri, December 16, 2005 - 7:41 AM
    Over the last year I'v gotten some flack from some in our tribe about posting my RV finds. Some of us like to see the going price of RV's, others think it's an annoyance.

    So with a show of hands and no hard feelings

    More or No More ?

      Oh please! Continue! I look here every day SPECIFICALLY to read your posts. If people don't want to read them, they can skip them. Don't let their "annoyance" spoil it for the rest of us. I appreciate what you are doing and the time it takes. This is how I am getting an education. After my experience last summer with Family RV, I am planning to buy my own RV and you are helping me see what is available. So I definitely vote for MORE!!!

      I hope you keep posting, but I do wish you would start new threads. It takes my puter a good minute to load this page. I'd say a new one each week. My 2 cents.

    • With the imminent censorship of Tribe only days away, this is one of the reasons I haven't pulled my membership. I enjoy reading your comments and looking at the ads. I have called on a few. I am a sucker for a good deal (read screaming deal). Please keep up the good work. I didn't realize you were forcing anyone to read your columns. You have my vote.
