let's see who can find a trailer for smeeed... if it is bought by smeed, I say a bottle of champagne is in order for the person that found the right rig hehe.

14-18 foot trailer, that can be pulled behind your 1/2 ton truck on a regular hitch (no 5th that is).. has working propane fridge and stove top, and maybe a operational shower/toilet and holding tanks...
for $2000 or under...

Wed, July 22, 2009 - 8:08 AMYep, that's about it! I've seen a 12 ft trailer that would do too...but it MUST be 18 ft or less. The other catch here is that I need this to happen asap. We intend to take this trailer to Burning Man.

They're asking $2900, but I spoke to the woman and I think she'll come down on that price a bit. She says it's been completely refurbished and everything works great. Propane fridge, stove and water heater all work great. She said they've taken it to the playa and it managed beautifully. It even has an air conditioner! I want this one!
Anybody have any thoughts? Something I may have overlooked? -

Wed, July 29, 2009 - 8:02 AMI had one of these. Good trailer just remember you need a v6 or better to tow it. I did it with a Nissan Pathfinder one year and an expedition the next. Both were fine but the wider wheelbase ford handled better.

Wed, July 29, 2009 - 8:24 PMIt's a 1982 Alpenlite, 14 ft. It has a little shower/potty room, a decent little fridge, water heater, and a little heater. I still have to go thru and make sure everything works as well as it should, but first impression is good. All looks well.
